Madelyn Chung, registered psychotherapist, former journalist, community advocate.
Growing up, Madelyn always asked a lot of questions.
Perhaps it was the inquisitive Gemini in her, but she always had an interest in discovering and learning more about the world — and the people — around her.
Her curiosity, along with her love of writing and storytelling, is what led her to a successful career in journalism where she found great joy in interviewing individuals and sharing their stories. she quickly found she had a natural ability to create a safe space for people to open up and reflect deeply on their experiences and the feelings surrounding them.
This, along with an innate desire to provide support to members of the community, is what ultimately led her to pursue a second career in psychotherapy. As a classically trained pianist, madelyn decided to train in music psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University’s Master of Music Therapy program, earning her degree in 2020. She’s worked with a wide range of populations, including children, teens, adults and seniors, in various settings such as palliative care, long-term care, hospice and community support groups.
As a therapist, Madelyn aims to help her clients feel seen and heard and create a safe, non-judgemental environment for them to get curious about their feelings, explore where they come from and identify how they’re impacting their everyday lives.
She takes a unique approach to her practice by incorporating both talk therapy and music into her sessions. Music is a powerful catalyst for uncovering feelings and for helping individuals express their emotions and madelyn is a firm believer that everyone can benefit from music psychotherapy – no musical experience required. Some music psychotherapy techniques include singing or listening to a song with her clients, analyzing lyrics or providing gentle music for breathing exercises and meditation.
Madelyn is committed to working collaboratively with her clients to help them ask those hard questions, realize their potential, nurture their strengths and resources and help them achieve their goals.

Tiffany believes in an equal playing field when it comes to therapy, working in partnership with her clients to find an approach that works best for their needs.
To Tiffany, honesty is at the heart of therapy, namely, the decision to be honest with yourself as she strongly believes it is the key that will open up the doors to self-healing. She’s straightforward (in the best way possible), dynamic, and free-spirited and brings these strengths to her practice.
Tiffany’s journey to becoming a social worker was largely inspired by her daughter. When she gave birth to her little one, she realized she didn’t know a thing about being a mom and wanted to learn more about child development—particularly the teenage years. This led her to pursue a Masters Degree in social work, and the rest is history.
She now specializes in adolescent and young adult development and mental health, having previously worked in transitional housing programs, and uses an eclectic approach rooted in various theories and techniques when working with clients. She brings compassion and understanding, particularly when it comes to working with underserved and undervalued populations in relation to systemic and institutional racism, and is currently completing her Doctorate in Social Work with her capstone project emphasizing the need for equal access to mental health services for these populations.

There are two things that got Heather into acupuncture: Gender Studies and her own struggle with anxiety.
While taking Gender Studies at the University of Toronto, Heather wanted to find a job that would be a hands-on way to work for reproductive and birth justice. She was also experiencing anxiety and found acupuncture to be an effective way to manage her feelings, find her breath and calm her mind.

If there’s one thing Dr. Laura loves, it’s human connection.
It’s a big reason why she decided to become a chiropractor — she thrives when it comes to interacting with people, getting to know them, and helping them on their holistic journey of healing.
Laura always knew she wanted to go into healthcare, but it wasn’t until she found a chiropractor that helped her heal from a soccer injury that plagued her for seven years that she had her “aha!” moment that led her to a career in chiropractic care. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and in all stages of life including pre and post-natal patients, athletes, children, seniors, and those dealing with ongoing and overlapping health conditions.

Amber is one of those people who was meant to work in healthcare.
As a child, she was dubbed “Nurse Amber” since she was always armed with a first aid kit, ready to help anyone who needed it. Sports played a big part in her life growing up, and she remained active as she grew older.
This personal connection to health and fitness is what led Amber to become a pelvic health physiotherapist. She has a special interest in women’s health and loves to educate and empower women about their body, particularly in regards to the changes that happen during pregnancy, the postpartum period and menopause. She also works with patients experiencing painful intercourse and individuals with chronic pelvic pain, including endometriosis.
Amber loves helping women prepare for childbirth, whether it is a vaginal delivery or cesarean. She helps women in their postpartum period by guiding them through recovery exercises, including treatment for diastasis rectus abdominus, and ultimately helps navigate a safe return to pre-pregnancy activity levels.
Amber also feels that educating women throughout their perimenopause and postmenopausal journey is so important. She helps to address any genitourinary symptoms of menopause, and can help with preventative exercises for anyone who loves to be prepared!
Amber uses a trauma-informed approach when treating patients, providing a safe and judgement-free environment for patients to express their history and triggers to take the steps towards healing.
Amber strongly believes that understanding one’s history is the key to a successful recovery, which is why her treatment approach includes a ton of education, as well as exercise guidance, manual therapies and dry needling/acupuncture as needed.
